LIVE LIFE WITH DIGNITY & SECURITY

Welcome and Thanks to all Supporters and Motivators!

We are glad to share the results of our Indian Norwegian community’s support  in our firstly chosen developmental destination in Rajghat, Rajasthan.

Isn’t it surprising that electricity comes to this village after more than 70 years of Independence in India? For the villagers it’s an Independence from darkness. The struggle doesn’t end here, it was just a start with 7 connections and with many more to come! Together we’re feeling motivated and energized towards our goal of aiding to lift up societies in India.

Please subscribe as a member below and we will keep everyone updated with more information!

A Dholpur village that got electricity with help from a medical student and a Norway NGO, The Indian Norwegian Community (INC)

Rajghat, a small village of 39 families in Rajasthan’s Dholpur, didn’t show any signs of development until a few years ago – no roads, no electricity, no drinking water. Today seven families have got electricity connection.
The seven houses in the village of Rajasthan at the banks of the Chambal river recently lighted up after they got electricity from government supply. The village didn’t have electricity since the Independence. The village got electricity supply due to the efforts of a medical student and that the seven families got connections and got support with funds from INC in Norway.

The whole case was commented on Hindustan Times May 2019 and can be read hereby:

Our aid has the final goal of promoting families to be self-sufficient and live their lives with Dignity & Security. SAKSHAM is created with a distinct purpose: to develop remote villages in India. Right now, our full focus is on village Rajghat. A remote village situated in Rajasthan (India). A village with no roads, no electricity and no water. This village is known as The Village of Bachelors – Because of their lack of amenities. People from other places don’t wish to marry the daughters of Rajghat. After 22 Years, A Wedding In Rajasthan’s Rajghat Village – NDTV.com (The Rajastan Wedding)

To make this village a better place to live, The INC as a Team Saksham are dedicated to raise funds for our developmental cause. Our first goal is to instal water pumps strategically around the village. This will give villagers access to clean water, hassle free, every day. The next step after having provided clean water all over the village, will be a project that aims towards expanding the electricity grids, fully establish the educational infrastructure with a school and finally create employment opportunities for the villagers that will thereby be more able to intercept more with closely remote villages and towns.

What we believe

We believe poverty is not inevitable, and humanity is our main value. Every person in this world has the rights to have access to basic amenities in their lives. Clean drinking water is one of them, along with education. As our first mission, we’ll be at the forefront for the case in Rajghat. We will comply with our vision is to help Indians in need to become self-sufficient so that they can live their lives with Dignity & Security. Our vision is based on the thought that even small actions can make a wheel of change roll and with some guidance, towards prosperity. If we can help 10 persons today to be self-sufficient, then they can help further 10 more in same manner. Reaching to make the world a better place to live.
